Book Bites Introduction

I get really excited about books, authors, and illustrators.  It’s pretty much in my job description to be “in the know” about what is currently available in children’s literature. However, if you are a hard-working teacher or parent you may not have the time to do this kind of research.

I’m going to make it my goal to share a “digestible” 5 book list with you each week starting on August 28th. This list will include a combination of chapter books, picture books, graphic novels, informational text, and featured authors and illustrators.

You can expect to receive an email with a link to this blog on Sundays.  My hope is that you find books to connect you with your children and students, and that teachers find books that support the work you’re doing in the classroom.

Special thanks to Michigan librarian friend Kurt Stroh who provided me with this idea. 🙂

Happy reading,

Mrs. Melanie Roy
